Keeper Lewis Price will miss at least the next three games after a scan revealed that his clash with Southend's Matt Harrold on Saturday had fractured a rib. The Wales international was replaced after seven minutes of Saturday's 3-1 win at Roots Hall.

Keeper Lewis Price has chipped a rib and has some swelling on his hip but is not yet ruled out of Sunday's home game with Luton Town. Price suffered the injury when Southend's Matt Harrold collided with him in the early stages of Saturday's 3-1 win at Roots Hall.

Boss Jim Magilton had praise for striker Billy Clarke who scored one and created one after coming off the bench as the Blues defeated Southend 3-1 at Roots Hall. Magilton was generally pleased with the performance, although he was concerned at his side's late jitteriness.

Town manager Jim Magilton is considering giving new loan signing Gary Roberts his first start when the Blues travel to Roots Hall to take on Southend on Saturday. Roberts impressed as a late sub during Tuesday's 3-2 home defeat to Preston, having only signed a three-month deal earlier in the day.

Town threw away a two-goal half-time lead as Preston left Portman Road with a 3-2 win. Jon Macken put the Blues ahead from the spot, then Alan Lee added a second as there looked to be only one winner. However, the visitors scored three times in 12 minutes via Nugent, Chilvers and Whaley.

Billy Clarke was Town's supersub for the second time in four days, netting the winner in the 85th minute as the Blues defeated Coventry 2-1 at Portman Road. Earlier in the half Mark Noble had put Town in front prior to Elliott Ward equalising for the visitors.
